THREE youths were detained by police last night after reports were made about them being on town centre roof buildings.
Residents reported seeing a police presence in St Helens town centre at around 7pm on Thursday, May 2, while others reported witnessing officers speaking with a group of youths.
There have been previous concerns surrounding anti-social behaviour in St Helens town centre, and a spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed that officers had received a report of youths being on the roof of buildings along Church Street.
Residents also reported witnessing a police helicopter around the town centre at the time.

The spokesperson said that three youths were detained and their details were taken.
There was no arrests and no reported damage to buildings.
