CATALANS prop Dave Taylor has been charged with a gouging offence arising from the clash with Saints a fortnight ago.
The match review panel have picked up the 45th minute incident on Saints full back Jonny Lomax.
Taylor faces a Grade E charge of gouging from that game, and on top of that has been hit with a Grade B charge of a dangerous throw from Thursday’s game at Hull.
If found guilty it could put an end to Taylor’s season as a Grade E offence carries a punishment of between 4-8 games. A Grade B is 1-2.
Taylor is a key player for Catalans, Saints’ biggest rivals for a top four spot.
No Saints players have been charged this week.
