SAINTS welcome back centre Mark Percival to their 19-man squad for Friday’s final Super League Super 8s clash with Wakefield Wildcats — in all likelihood the club’s last home game of the campaign.

With wing Adam Swift and prop Greg Richards omitted after needing a mandatory six days off after receiving head knocks at Widnes, further changes have had to be made.

James Roby also sits it out, with his place at nine expected to be taken by Frenchman Theo Fages.

Jack Ashworth and Oliver Davies come into the side.

Coach Keiron Cunningham said: “We have a few people not playing but we are not in a bad spot at the minute.

“We have a couple of options, but with Percy we are stuck between devil and deep blue sea.

“Bring him too soon if he is not ready and break him then he has no chance.

“If he is ready you would like a game in him before the semis.

“There are some big calls to be made.

“Prop wise we have young Oliver Davies who has been playing well in the 19s, so we will be ok there.”

Wakefield have yet to win a game in the Super 8s and have suffered some adversity in the campaign.

But in the last two week’s they have produced stubborn displays against Catalans and Hull.

Cunningham said: “Wakefield know they are not going to do anything (in this competition), but you have got to give them credit for hanging in there.

“We know exactly what they are going to do on Friday, but we have got to make it a tough night for Wakefield.

“Consistency and momentum are the two biggest things now.

“This game is also a bit of a showcase for the fans. The showing at Widnes was phenomenal on Sunday and I was proud of them.

“The fans brought us home strong. I know what sort of lift that gives to you as a player.”
