A gruelling trail race in the Lake District
A WEEKEND running across mixed terrain starting with a gruelling trail run taking in the mountains of the Lake District at Howgills.
Montane trail marathon 26 was finished first by Kevin Brennan in 4:31:16 followed by Gary Spriggs 5:23:37, Simon Poole 6:44:57 as well as Anita Hall and Ruth Besford both finishing in 7:47:47. The trail 13 was also completed by Alex Abbott in 2:52:51.
Chester 1/2 marathon was completed by 4 Striders first crossing the line was Eric Ranson in 1:34:55 followed by a PB from Sharon OConnell in 1:55:53, Colin Leyland in 2:16:01 and Angela Jones in 2:19:28.
Gemma Webster also completed the Race for Life in Delamere coming an impressive second place.
