PILKINGTON Recs ran in eight tries to ease past bottom side Saddleworth Rangers 46-24.

Ian Stanley and Josh Lynch both scored twice for a Pilks side that had the game sewn up by half-time as they led 34-6.

Danny Filson, Ryan Hilliard, Kyran Knapper and Ben Gravener also got in on the try scoring act with seven Danny Lynch goals closing their account.

For Rangers Ben Whitehead converted tries by Dale Lowe, Phil Wood, Josh Bradbury and Jack Bradbury.

Meanwhile Blackbrook lost 32-18 at home to Millom.

Deon Cross, Jordan Welsby (2) and Jack Parker scored the home side’s tries with Steve Parkinson tagging on a conversion.

Millom had seen an 18-0 lead disappear but re-grouped to seal the win thanks to four-pointers from Chris Warren (2), Steve Dawson, Ethan Kelly, Warwick Carter and Ian Armstrong.
