JORDAN Turner has attacked the 2015 season a couple of kilos heavier than last term as he strives to make a big impression on the Super League campaign.

And apart from his recent absence with labyrinthitis and a couple of head knocks earlier on in the campaign, Turner has been a consistent performer.

The way he skilfully fashioned the early tries for Adam Swift in the first half of the Catalans game left nobody in doubt that had he stayed on, Saints would have won.

Turner sees servicing the men on the flanks as his main job as a centre, and it is one his wing parters will be appreciative of.

The powerful Oldhamer said: "The main prerogative of a centre is to get the wingers away – it is not about scoring tries myself, as long as the wingers look good I am not bothered.

"As long as I am bringing to the table what I can and the team plays well that is the main thing.

"I have put a couple of kilos on this year because I knew I was going back into the centres and lost quite a bit of weight to play the role I was playing last season.

"I am carrying it all right though at the minute."

Saints' attack has settled back in well despite the loss of edge runners Joe Greenwood and Atelea Vea.

"They were our form players so it was disappointing, but the lads stepping in have done a great job. We all have the same team morals so we are well equipped," he said.
