A PRINTING ink manufacturer that sunk into administration after becoming swamped with debt has been bought out, saving seven jobs.
UK Inks Limited, based on Haydock Industrial Estate, owed money to a number of creditors including a sum to Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, administrators SFP said.
Established in 2005, the company employed 11 people had an annual turnover of about £2million.
SFP said that by March 2014 the position had become untenable and the directors decided to place the company in administration.
It has been bought by UK Flexible Coatings. The firm’s troubles led to four redundancies.
