AN Easter farmers’ market is being held on Saturday and Sunday at Fir Tree Farm, King’s Moss.

Food connoisseurs will have a field day on Saturday (9.30am - 1.30pm) while craft and gift stalls will take centre stage on Sunday (10am - 3pm).

Forsters’ famous spring lamb and Easter ham, Billinge’s Carefully Crafted egg crème cakes and bunny shaped scones and sponges, Shirleys’ rabbit and leek pies and seasonal blooms from the Garden Festivals Company will be on offer.

Visitors will be able to watch Barn Owl chicks in their nest in the barley grain tower via CCTV footage transmitted to a screen and on Sunday gift options include candles, wood carvings, hand made cards, scented soap, pressed flowers and floral art, plus a children’s workshop where Pat Howard of Wudstock will help youngsters paint wooden bunnies.

Entry to the markets and car parking is free on both days.
