THE search is on for history and old photographs of Haydock, which recently lost its famous Victorian seat of learning, Jaggers School.
It was shut because of the smaller birthrate in the district, bringing in fewer future pupils.
The information is required for a project regarding the impressive large mural removed from Jaggers (real name Richard Evans primary school|) on its closure.
It has been transferred to the neighbouring Legh Vale school and the idea is to have a logo near the mural, surrounded with information and old photographs of Haydock.
IF you’ve an historic picture or interesting written piece, in line with the project, then please contact Legh Vale School.
