WHALLEY’S World fan Bernard Derbyshire from Lyon Close has sent in this memory-packed picture from 50 years ago showing a gang of members of North & South Eccleston Labour Club in Knowsley Road.
They are about to set off for a Wembley trip in 1961 to cheer on Saints v Wigan. Bernard remembers them as from L/R: Frank Wilton, Danny Black, Albert Mcgrath, Harry Glover, Wilf Tabern, Bill Tickle, John Tickle, Unknown, John Derbyshire, Paddy Flannigan, ‘Somebody’ Ford, kneeling Harry Langley & Norman Grimes.
