A WOMAN has been charged with wounding with intent in connection with an alleged assault in Whiston.
Police confirmed they were called to Brook Street on Saturday morning, April 27, to reports of an assault.
A spokeswoman said Catherine Livesey, 49, of Brook Street, Whiston, has since been charged with wounding with intent.
Livesey is due to appear before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court today (Monday).

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We were called to Brook Street in Whiston at 10.25am on Saturday (April 27) to reports of an assault.
"Catherine Livesey, 49, of Brook Street has been charged with s18 wounding with intent.
"She was remanded into custody to appear in court."
