Meet the first leapling baby born at Whiston Hospital

Jacob was born at 2.08am today, February 29, making him a ‘leapling’.

He was born to mum Tasha Boyd and dad Andrew Stockton, weighing 6lb 6oz.

Mum Tasha, 37, from Huyton, said: “It’s amazing that he’s been born on February 29, I didn’t even realise until one of the staff here said.

“We will probably celebrate on the 28th unless it’s a leap year and then he can have a bit more of a fuss then.

“His dad’s just gone to get his brothers [Jordan, Jayden and Jaxon} who are excited to meet him.”
