  • Retrospective planning permission has been obtained to convert a garage in Celandine Way, Bold into a beauty salon. The salon opens from 10am to 5pm Wednesdays to Fridays. Some neighbours opposed the bid over parking issues and the neon sign, which was described as "detracting from the appearance of the area".

  • A micropub is to be opened in a former commercial premises in a shopping parade in Dane Court, Rainhill. One person wrote a letter of objection, but eight letters were recived supporting the venture, saying the pub would bring a vacant unit back into use.
  • Initial approval has been given for up to 180 two, three and four-bedroom homes, together with the creation of open space areas and an earth barrier and acoustic fence on the western and south western boundaries of land next to the former Little Lea Green Farm in Elton Head Road, Thatto Heath.
