FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Prescot home when a man suffered eye pain after chlorine tablets reacted with water in a hot tub.
The incident happened in the back garden of a property in Sugar Lane on Saturday (February 6) at around 8.50pm.
A fire engine was sent to the house, where a 45-year-old man suffered from chlorine in his eyes.
The man was treated at the scene by paramedics and was then taken to Whiston Hospital by ambulance for further checks.
Firefighters stayed at the property to for around half an hour and ensured the hot tub was safe before leaving.
