CROWDS are expected to line the streets at department store Tyrers as Santa arrives to open his traditional grotto on Saturday.
His arrival will see the big man in the red suit march to the grand Bridge Street grotto opening accompanied by an enormous parade of vintage American-style vehicles.
There will be live music and dancers outside the shop from 12.30pm, and the procession of vehicles will remain in Church Square for a while for people to admire.
And to finish the weekend, the store is holding its annual VIP (invite only) 20 per cent off Christmas shopping event on Sunday, November 29.
It will be the first of four Sundays that Tyrers will be open in the run up to Christmas and if you want to join in the VIP event, mjoin the mailing list at www.tyrers.com.
