PEOPLE are being warned to be cautious after prescription medicine was stolen from a handbag in Tesco.
The medication, 26-30mg tablets of codeine, was taken from the bag in the superstore on St Helens Linkway between 3pm and 4pm on Thursday, May 21.
Officers are warning people that taking any medicine which hasn't been prescribed can be dangerous.
Anyone who finds the tablets is urged to hand them into any pharmacy or police station or call officers on the 101 number.
