A FASHION store boss is turning to Michael Buble's music to help raise money for a cancer charity which cared for his grandmother in her final days.
Lee Kinsey, a customer service manager at River Island in Church Square Shopping Centre, is holding a buffet and disco, featuring a Buble tribute act, to raise funds for Willowbrook Hospice on Friday, May 1.
His grandmother Patricia Thompson spent time at the hospice before she died aged 75, at home with Lee by her side.
Lee, 31, raised £2,500 with a Macmillan Coffee Morning at the shopping centre in Patricia’s memory, is hoping to launch an annual event to raise money for the hospice.
He is also holding along with an in-store collection day at River Island on Friday, April 24.
“I want to keep her memory alive by doing something like this to help others,” said Lee, from Haydock.
“I was at the hospice quite a lot to visit her and it really is a lovely place. The staff treat each person as an individual and give them one to one care.”
Tickets are available from Lee on 07584 176641, at River or through the Willowbrook Hospice on 01744 453798 or willowbrook.org.uk
