A SUPERMARKET cafe in the town has been hailed for offering the best high street breakfast in the country.
The Boundary Road Morrisons store’s café was voted number one by renowned foodservice industry awards MIDAS this March 2015.
The store beat off stiff competition from other well known high street restaurants and cafés as a team of mystery diners judged it to have the best menu choice, value for money and service.
The St Helens store features the full award winning menu ranging from lighter breakfasts of under 600 calories to hearty cooked breakfasts featuring Morrisons renowned Big Breakfast, meat free breakfast and breakfast sandwich.
Jane Anglesea, store general manager at Morrisons St Helens said: “We’re thrilled that our store’s café has been voted to have the best British breakfast. It is testament to our strong menu, fantastic ingredients and helpful staff.
“Our café is extremely popular with customers and many visit us at the start of the day, or stop off before or after a shopping trip. We hope that this award will encourage more people to stop by to try it out!”
