A WOMAN was fined £190 after admitting fraudulently claiming more than £4,500 in benefits.
Jennifer Tabern, 44, from Bolton Street in Pocket Nook failed to tell the authorities of an increase in her income resulting in an overpayment in housing and council tax benefit of £4,732.
Following a hearing at St Helens Magistrates’ Court she was fined and was told to pay back the full overpayment.
