CHILDREN at St Aidan’s C of E Primary School in Billinge were delighted when they met Father Christmas in a grotto with a twist.
Instead of the usual school hall visit for their Christmas Fayre, St Aidan’s instead used a vintage bus that was loaned by North West Museum of Road Transport in St Helens.
A spokesperson for the school said the mobile grotto was the highlight of the fayre. Some school staff and parents decked the upstairs with tinsel and other Christmas decorations so the children could visit Santa in his grotto, where they all received a present.
