THE workforce of the future will be inspired by an event taking place at Langtree Park.

Hosted by St Helens College, the St Helens Skills Show Experience aims to raise the aspirations of those aged 14 to 25.

The day will provide first-class, impartial careers advice and guidance as well as information on a wide range of industry sectors and organisations from across the country.

Employment, training and educational opportunities which are available will be highlighted by leading groups such as Barclays, Peel Ports, the Royal Navy, Merseyside Police, Whitbread Group, plus many more.

Young people and adults from across St Helens and neighbouring boroughs will be given the chance to meet employers, participate in fun and interactive activities and learn about the potential career pathways available to them.

The free event opens its doors from 10am until 7pm and will bring together established and prestigious employers from across the region.

The innovative event, which takes place on Thursday, October 23, will be sponsored by St Helens Council, St Helens Star and St Helens Rugby League Football Club, and forms part of the national Skills Show Experience, supported by the European Social Fund and the National Careers Service.
