THOUSANDS of pounds worth of electrical testing equipment was stolen from two cars on the car park of the Griffin Inn.
Detectives are investigating the theft which took place on the evening of Tuesday, September 16 after two vehicles on the car park on Church Road were broken into.
The items stolen included a secondary injection test set and leads, a Megger Earth tester, a full set of Makita power tools and a 10kw earth tester.
A silver Volkswagon estate vehicle was seen in the area at the time the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson, said: "I would appeal to anyone with information about this incident to call police.
“In particular we would like to speak to the driver of the Volkswagon estate vehicle seem in the area around the time of the report as they may be able to assist us with our enquiries.
"Anyone who has been offered any of these items for sale is also urged to contact us as they may information vital to our investigation.”
