A PENSIONER has been given a suspended jail sentence after admitting being drunk and disorderly in public and assaulting two police officers.
Kenneth Atherton, 67, from Sheringham Close in Parr, pleaded guilty at St Helens Magistrates’ Court to three offences dating back to Tuesday July 22.
Magistrates jailed him for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, and fined him a total of £310.
